Day 98 - January 6, 2006

Crossing the Kanawa River in Charleston, West Virginia, using a railroad bridge as the highway crossing was too narrow. Don't worry, a train just went by and there shouldn't be another one for an hour. When I'm done today, I'll have put in another 22-mile day!

It's snowing here, about 30 degrees, same as Skagway, great walking weather! Passed a couple of huge Dow Chemical plants one makes most of the chewing gum base and the other most of the moth balls for N. America.

Looking forward to getting to Point Pleasant, WV in a couple days, home of the legendary "Mothman" of X-Files fame. Looking for sovenirs to send Maxine's Sunday School class. More on my encounters with "Mothman" in the next installment.
